🌟 Our Shikara ride in Alleppey was unforgettable! 🌟 Alleppey Shikara Backwaters is a must-visit! 🚣♂️ Traditional wooden boats glide through tranquil waterways, surrounded by lush greenery 🌿 and vibrant flowers 🌸. Jayan, the owner, is incredibly honest and down-to-earth, ensuring a seamless experience. Mobin, our friendly driver, made the journey delightful with his local insights. He shared stories about the local area, pointed out interesting sights, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey. The Shikara ride itself was peaceful and offered stunning views of the backwaters, with glimpses of village life 🏡 and beautiful landscapes 🌅.
It was undoubtedly a wonderful experience. We went through small villages and paddy fields and entered the largest fresh water lake in India. Jayan the owner was very friendly and explained us about all the important places through out the ride. 3 hours ride just went off so quickly.. We halted at a good restaurant to have lunch where food was amazing. 🙏
We pre-booked the Shikhara ride before we arrived to Kochi. Jayan is really an amazing tour guide as well. He helped us with guidance on nearby places for sightseeing in a short span as well as mentioning all the lakes and places we were seeing during our Shikhara ride. He even provided us speaker so that we could listen to songs. Highly recommended if you are visiting Alleppey for the first time and you are planning to take a Shikhara ride!
